What are the chat rules on PokerStars?

We want everyone to have a fun and respectful experience.

All chat must follow basic rules of conduct.

 

What behaviour is not allowed in chat?

The following actions may result in a warning or ban:

• Foul language: No swearing, insults, or discriminatory comments
• Begging: Do not ask for chips (real money or Play Money)
• Selling chips: Do not discuss buying or selling Play Money chips
• Spamming: Do not flood the chat with repeated messages
• Promotion: Do not advertise products or services
• Malicious behaviour: No collusion, scams, or false information
• Harassment: Do not target or follow players to disrupt their game

 

What language can I use in chat?

Chat language depends on the table.

• Most tables are English-only
• Some events may allow other languages (check table labels)

For specific platforms:

• On .ES, .FR, and .PT tables, you can use the official language of the country

 

What happens if chat rules are broken?

We review all reports and take action when necessary.

Possible outcomes:

• A warning
• A chat ban

If a reported player is still chatting, they may have received a warning or no violation was found.
